The Pudil Family Foundation supported the exhibition Vanity Fair. Academy of Fine Arts Graduates 2016

This exhibition will introduce works by the 2016 graduates from the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague. Every year, around forty artists working in eighteen different studios graduate from the Academy. The exhibition presents a wide range of artistic approaches, and all the works aim to achieve maximum effect on the viewer. Each of the exhibited artists seeks to create a significant artwork that brings their studies to a close while opening a new stage in their artistic and personal development.

Both the Academy and the National Gallery in Prague were founded at the end of the 18th Century by the Society of Patriotic Friends of the Arts. The collaboration between AVU and the National Gallery is a logical consequence of this common history and fact that the Gallery’s collection includes a large number of works by AVU graduates. The exhibition presents the works of young artists who might and probably will earn a prominent standing on both the local and the international art scene. The Pudil Family Foundation is honoured to support the exhibition of these young talented artists.

The exhibition Vanity Fair. Academy of Fine Arts Graduates 2016 is on view daily except for Mondays from 10 am until 6 pm in the Trade Fair Palace in Prague from 24 June until 7 August 2016.

The Pudil Family Foundation is an open non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the understanding and appreciation of Czech and international modern and contemporary art through the realization of innovative exhibitions, research and educational projects.
